Add instructions for generating new snapshot images to CONTRIBUTING.md #529

the CONTRIBUTING.md provides details on how to replace existing snapshot images but I'm struggling to figure out how to generate new ones based on the existing contributing guidelines. It would be great if the guidelines include a section on how to add brand new snapshots
