I like your search for the integration of open source projects and I think it is something that needs to be promoted in Catalyst. But what is your objective with this proposal? Obviously the budget is symbolic so it leads me to believe that you want approval from the community for this proposal. Am I right?

Thanks for your question, Rodrigo ( rodrigopacini ) , In essence this proposal has become a practical experiment. Given the dynamic nature of the proposal (I am actively working on its goals before funding), it can be hard to fix objectives as they change as lessons learnt are fed back into the process. But broadly speaking, the proposal tries to address the question of whether auditable standards, which are typically centralised at present, can be adapted to decentralised organisation. For example: what level of maturity can Project Catalyst proposals achieve? Could Project Catalyst proposals be awarded US Government contracts (which require a maturity audit) in the future? This proposal is also trying to discern the internal capabilities of the Project Catalyst culture itself. How is this culture addressing the challenge of reforming centralised management and quality assurance standards? What effective distributed solutions are emerging? Can these be tested or trailed? Are there any live examples? The budget is not symbolic at all. The question of how to measure the value of contribution was one of the first issues that came to mind whilst drafting this proposal. Value is not simply financial. I think a first principle of a blockchain governance is to transparently recognise contributions. Only afterwards models of value should be assigned (otherwise your value model is determining contributions). Can Project Catalyst accommodate this? Then there are hidden costs of negotiating with NFT-DAO (for example) to mint the recognition NFT (in return for work in kind). Are contribution tracking mechanisms in place ? Can work in kind be exchanged for the expertise it takes to mint an NFT? All the best. Stephen Whitenstall
