I tend to agree with James. #85

I tend to agree with James. You sound sincere and you seem experienced. However, to come into the mix of established teams and organizations and describe problems that conveniently mold to your background, without even acknowledging the open-source resources already available, seems disingenuous to me. In your view, are teams already working and in process and publishing supposed to stop what they are doing and do a gut-check to see whether or not they meet your criteria? I don't mean to be aggressive here, I just want to put a critical eye to what you are proposing and ask simply, why does anyone need this proposal in order to be open-source?

At this stage I will say that Project Catalyst does not just comprise of "mix of established teams and organizations" - but also individuals and amateurs.

Nevertheless, I am finding the most critical comments the most useful and I hope to explain why this is when I report on the exercise.
