Japanese committee for automated contacless measurement is creating guidelines for measurement preparation, operation and data process for contactless measurement based on MBD data. Overview of the project and standard data process guideline can be found here. QIF MBD is used to convert CAD data to CAT software. https://www.nist.gov/sites/default/files/documents/2018/04/10/4drp5_soma_jmeti_measurement_201804.pdf In order to fully utilize QIF in our process, we propose enhancement to QIF for supporting contactless measurement. Thank you very much for the documentation of the work group meetings. Will the minutes of the most recent meetings be shared likewise?

This news post https://qifstandards.org/non-contact-metrology-working-group-update-and-status/ mentioned that the WG proposed a list of possible enhancements to the QIF standard, fulfilling its purpose. Are the proposed features open to the public?

Hello GGR-WZL -

Information about QIF 4.0 development is available to all member companies of the Digital Metrology Standards Consortium, but is not publicly available. Information about QIF 3.0 is publicly available.

If you have specific questions, let me know, and I'll try to answer them.
