[Latitude 5280 - Monterey] Onboard audio not working/bluetooth not working #1

Open fearlipe opened 3 years ago

fearlipe commented 3 years ago

Trackpad works fine, wifi is working as well. Just the bluetooth that does not turn on and the onboard audio that is not working as well.

QuanTrieuPCYT commented 3 years ago

Try using AppleALC + VerbStub with layout-id 21 and feedback me. I'm also aware of this issue

QuanTrieuPCYT commented 3 years ago

For bluetooth, make sure that you remapped your USB and use IntelBluetoothFirmware with BlueToolFixup (not with the Intel injector). Would recommend switching to a Broadcom module for proper support though, Intel kexts are still buggy and heavily in development

And how I do this? Just changing the layout-id from 69 to 21 din't work.

first, remove ALC256.kext then grab a copy of AppleALC and VerbStub and put it into your kext folder after that, go into your config.plist and set layout-id to 21

I think your dell 5280 uses a different layout id tho, try using other ids they mentioned on the applealc codec list

Even tho I was able to download, it's not working for me.

What I need to do to load this new efi? run clean nvram?

I just put in your efi my serial and ROM stuff, and put it into my efi drive under EFI.

fearlipe commented 3 years ago

I did, it doesn't change anything... DO you think I need to do a clean installation with your efi?

yarecco commented 3 years ago

You can try. Does it start installation from USB with my EFI?

No, it does the following: OC: Failed to parse configuration.

fearlipe commented 3 years ago

Can you please send the EFI folder direct from your EFI drive?

yarecco commented 3 years ago

Can you please send the EFI folder direct from your EFI drive?

It was my EFI drive... maybe just try tu put only Kexts folder to your OC folder and update you config.plist with new kexts?

yarecco commented 3 years ago

As for internal device I simply copied settings from my working Big Sur installation to the config.plist Zrzut ekranu 2021-11-7 o 19 55 00

fearlipe commented 3 years ago

That's weird, when I try to open your config.plist with OCAuxiliaryTools it says "invalid plist file".

fearlipe commented 3 years ago

Those files looks different from the first one you sent.

Aparently the first one was the wrong.

yarecco commented 3 years ago

OK it must have been some corruption with compression..

fearlipe commented 3 years ago

One thing that is not wokring anymore is the "trackpad". Now is just working as a mouse, so i lost the pinch to zoom and other gestures.

did it work with the "original" efi that you used before?

fearlipe commented 3 years ago

Yes.

Ok I know how it has come. SOmehow I forgot to put the AlpsHID.kext

fearlipe commented 3 years ago

You sent the opencore.efi file, did you meant to sent config.plist?

fearlipe commented 3 years ago

I've added the kext folder you sent, but the trackpad does not work as intended.

yarecco commented 3 years ago

Dont forget to put the updated config.plist from zip otherwise the kext are not loaded

Your zip does not have the config.plist, you put the wrong file (the ooencore.efi)

fearlipe commented 3 years ago

I meant this zip😀

Yes, me too! Please download it and open and you will see that there is no config.plist init.

fearlipe commented 3 years ago

Please, send the config.plist that have the AlpsHID.kext entry

Yeah sorry my mistake it happens when you do five things at the same time :XD sorry this is correct config file config.plist.zip

Yeah sure no problem but this is the correct and updated EFI with working BT , integrated audio and trackpad, working with Latitude 5280 EFI.zip

You missed the config.plist and the kexts folder in this zip.

Hello again.

I've noticed that with these EFI configurations my WiFi speeds are capped at 75Mbps, while my iPhone always get 120Mbps in the same WiFi network.

I do remember getting the same speed as my iPhone in this laptop, is there anything to do with the EFI configuration?

Thanks in advance.

you can't expect fully stable networking support for Intel cards on macOS as it requires a 3rd part kext and they are not officially supported by Apple. Feedback to the dev or consider a broadcom card.

Fresh Install ! Upgrading from Stable Big Sur to Monterey Beta was quite easy, but from Monterey Beta to Stable seemed impossible, I reinstalled MacOS instead of updating and it booted, everything works perfectly, check my repository if you want

Ok, I have a bluetooth update here!

My BT was not working, the device was stucked on crossed BT icon and BT could not be enabled.

What I did: Downloaded this, last release. https://github.com/acidanthera/BrcmPatchRAM/releases

In my EFI: deleted IntelBluetoothInjector.kext deleted entry for this kext in config.plist Copied new version of BlueToolFix.kext Added BrcmFirmwareData.kext (no config entry was needed)

reboot and ta-da, bluetooth is working...

codigoperfeito commented 2 years ago

I have spent my whole 2020 summer to fully install Hackintosh, you have to be patient, so be patient.

Also, what is your CPU model, my EFI should work for Latitude 5480 but idk about yours
