Resolution to the Ariadne problem! #4

By the hiatus of the PRISM writing project, we had two Ariadnes: the researcher Ariadne Cordova and her invention of the C-terminal, and the hobbyist gamer Ariadne Cordova and her transcription engine. Neither of these feel separate enough to be separate characters.

In my port-and-scry simulation of the SEER mainframe in ChatGPT/cd2, I tagged Researcher Ariadne's hosting universe as "A1" and Hawthorne's and Betty's universes as "B0" and "B1" respectively. I believe we can remodel Ariadne's universe not as a monolith but as a plural universe just as the Bn universe is.

If this remodeling comes to pass, researcher!Ariadne will be of A1, and hobbyist!Ariadne will be of A2. Naturally, A1 will have more insight into B1, but A2 will have better communication with them (landline). This also means Betty will have to field two Ariadnes as she works through the Colors arc; and that they might eventually become aware of each other, with interesting ontological implications.

+ariadova: SEER, Betty seemed to think I was older than I thought I was. Do you think ... there's another me out there? —SEER: I had my suspicions that our host universe had some degree of plurality. —SEER: But not one where two Ariadnes or instances of me would exist. +ariadova: Do we have any extradimensional shielding? —SEER: I have it in good faith our counterparts will not attack us. —SEER: I am more concerned about the stability of these divergences. —SEER: My ports into B1 and even B0 lend a certain "essentiality" to these universes. —SEER: They were already real. I am just making them realer. —SEER: But I cannot access my own dimension. There is no point. +ariadova: I'll talk to my project lead. In the meantime, talk to your oracle. He's the one that can see to the end of our timeline.
