- Made notebook recommendations PR ready to be merged (barring further review or other feedback).
- Responded to dark/light mode button question.
- Reviewed @gabalafou's blog post (hooray!).

- Picking up my assigned PyData Sphinx post-audit issues.

I've been working on https://github.com/pydata/pydata-sphinx-theme/issues/1852, and it has been dragged out a bit but I've finally gotten to a point where I'm starting to connect all my notes and research findings and applying them to the text categories, and I'll have some screenshots soon to ask for review.
Currently working on https://github.com/pydata/pydata-sphinx-theme/issues/1852 and #97
Items for discussion: Incorporating the data viz colour palette into example notebooks, and if I can help out there.
I am planning to take some time off in between 3rd August and 22nd August, and I'll update when I have the dates locked down.

- I almost have a PR ready for fixing the sidebars (make them follow the modal pattern, very similar to the work I did on the search bar modal)
