1 year ago I mean there are open issues since 2020 like https://github.com/QuantStack/py2vega/issues/36 which would be a great addition. Clearly on can wonder if it's still under maintenance
Unless it needs a bug fix or a new feature, py2vega does not need changing much anymore.
