Lead user straight to first image of an album, not to a thumbnail gallery #1146

Current behaviour is that the user is lead to a list of thumbnails when opening an album. In the past the reason for this is that you did not want to confuse the user, wanting instead for them to know they are in an album.

I think enough time as passed since this request was first made such that there would be no user confusion. If the user really wanted to know if they were in an album they could swipe. If no next image showed, there is no album. Or, as currently, you could display the "you are already on the last image" message as a confirmation.

It is more frustrating to have to press into a post to get to an image gallery, which my understanding is that no one really uses as a gallery, then to get into one image and realize that it isn't an album.

Very good idea. The current behaviour is also one of the most annoying aspects of the app for me.

To avoid confusion, you could also show a toast message "You're on the first image of an album".

I think this has been added. Settings>images / video >automatically open first album image
