when a subreddit is set as private redreader shows a wrong error message #861

Today I open RedReader and went to one of my fav subs and I got this message:

"Invalid User Reddit says the current user does not have permission to do that. Try logging out, and then logging back in (by deleting the account from the accounts list, and then adding it again)."

The message has two errors, first it is not about an user but about a subreddit, second I am not logged in with any account. I thought it was weird and went on reddit and found out that that subreddit was set as private.

Can you fix the error message saying the issue is that the sub was made private? If the app has not enough priviledges to do that, maybe you could point out that the error is on reddit site and maybe it is worth checking the sub reddit and see if it works fine outside RedReader.

Thank you,

ps: my version is 1.16 installed from fdroid
