Where is the value to a user, and who might that user be? Working audio

Additional context I am running Qubes release 4.1 I have updated kernel via --enable-repo=qubes-dom0-current-testing kernel-latest kernel-llatest-qubes-vm uname -a reports I am running 5.10.13-1.fc32.qubes.x86_64 in dom0 lspci reports audio device as: Audio device: Intel Corporation Comet Lake PCH-LP cAVS arecord -l - reports no soundcards found xini -A reports: pacmd list-cards reports no cards available

'Hardware for linux' says the device is supported since 5.2 https://linux-hardware.org/index.php?id=pci:8086-02c8-1025-1345

Note: I tried installing archlinux, also on kernel 5.10.14, initally also no sound. However I did get around this by:

• installing sof-firmware
• creating a file: /etc/modeprobe.d/dsp-fix.conf and putting options snd_intel_dspcfg dsp_driver=1 as the file contents
• rebooted
