After clicking "Update" on dom0 in the Qube Manager, there is a very long delay before an XTerm window appears #8588

4.2.0 rc3 Trying to update dom0 via classic path by using Q Manager right click update dom0 nothing happens for a very long time >10m because once i waiting long enough the xterm window popped up having done the downloads ad offering my the n/y.

Expected behavior

Show xterm right away and show progress

Actual behavior

xterm pops up once all downloads are done

While wondering what is happening i tried to start Q update Manager GUI which fails, nothing happens for a long time until a pop up says, “Command ‘[’/usr/bin/qubes-dom0-updater’,‘–clean’,‘–gui’]’ returned non zero exit status. 1.” And then Qubes update manager GUI did not start up. This probably makes sense since it was already doing the updates aka downloading in the background.
