As an artifact of using X11, touchscreen gestures don't really work.
Moving over to wayland will help, but as far as I can understand, the current touchscreen implementation is single-touch, which completely removes the possibility for gestures.
The solution you'd like
After we migrate to wayland, enable multitouch input from tablet and trackpad devices.
The value to a user, and who that user might be
Most users who use convertible or touchscreen devices will be able to navigate more comfortably, and use Qubes for artistic purposes (such as graphic design, drawing, and 3d animation)
(This would pair much better with pressure input support, which I've submitted a second request for)
