Combo boxes in Bambu Studio not working with Qubes X11 integration #9107

Qubes OS release

Qubes 4.2

Brief summary

I'm using a Bambu Lab 3D printer and in order to use this printer (slicing, sending data to printer) it is required to use Bambu Studio. Unfortunately, when starting this application in Qubes, all the combo boxes are not working. When clicking on the combo box, something pops up for a very short moment of time but it is impossible to actually interact with it and select an item. This renders the application unusable.

Steps to reproduce

Expected behavior

User should be able to select items in combo boxes.

Actual behavior

Combo boxes are not functional.

Workaround

The only workaround I've found so far is to use an HVM-based system (installed from an ISO file instead of a template, without the Qubes X11 integration). However this can be highly annoying to use and it would be great to have a better solution allowing usage of Bambu Studio in a standard AppVM.

I was using Orcaslicer which I think is a fork of Bambu studio and had the same problem and HVM workaround. I have switched to Prusaslicer which does not have this issue and I open the Mainsail interface in a separate browser to control my printer and upload and run prints. I have a Creality K1, don't know how hard it will be to find or make a Prusaslicer profile for Bambu printers. My guess is the issue needs fixing in Bambu Studio and Orcaslicer as they likely are processing an event triggered by the virtualization integration inappropriately.
