Qubes OS release

Qubes 4.2

Brief summary

System hard locks on the luks screen if multiple monitors are turned on. Single monitor works fine. This is with kernel 6.6.25-1 qubes and xen 4.17.3 compiled april 9 and intel integrated graphics, booted in EFI mode.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Boot with more than one monitor turned on
  2. Hard lock at luks (key presses are ignored although grub responded fine)
  3. Turn off other monitors, leaving one on
  4. reboot
  5. boots fine
  6. turn monitors on after the login screen
  7. continues to run fine

Expected behavior

  1. Boot with more than one monitor
  2. Boots fine (this was the behavior with 4.1)

Actual behavior

  1. Boot with more than one monitor turned on
  2. Hard lock
  3. Turn off other monitors, leaving one on
  4. reboot
  5. boots fine
  6. turn monitors on after the login screen
  7. continues to run fine

Are the native resolution of the two monitors different? Do you get the LUKS password prompt offset like this? And what happens if you press ESC key? Could you switch to text mode and enter your password there?
