remove duplicate sync functions in favor of using async_to_sync to create sync version of render functions.
mock test the render function and refactor the tests.
refactor _get_render_context.

also

drop Python 3.7 and add Django 4.2 support. Python 3.7 EOL is 27 Jun 2023: https://endoflife.date/python.
