When you start Vivecraft, not the launcher, Vivecraft will ignore the orientation that the quest will have set up, instead opting to place it in front of the play space, not allowing you to reposition it after the fact. Sometimes, it does work, most of the time it does not. Likewise, I am bed ridden so I use lay down mode, which also doesn't work and I suspect it is also due to this behavior. If you want to replicate this, simply go into QC and in the main menu of the game (not the launcher) reposition the orientation by holding down the home button.

Whilst holding down the home button, the game should re adjust the orientation similarly to games like VRChat, Among Us VR, or even the game launcher itself.
