Minor language changes for readability. #28

Some minor language changes for readability and a small number of typo fixes.

If you accept the PR I will continue to check the remaining documents in the API folder.

I still remember writing this part of the documentation over 2 years ago, when publishing the very first version of the library. Today, my old work does not look very professional but I didn't find much time to correct it.
