USB-NAND ERROR Mount! (ret = -101) (partition issue?) #28

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load Triiforce r82 from HBC
2. Select option "Use USB-NAND"

What is the expected output?
Whatever happens after USB-NAND is successfully mounted

What do you see instead?
Error message ERROR Mount! (ret = -101) appears immediately

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
r82, IOS249 v21, Base IOS56

Please provide any additional information below.
The USB drive works fine with CFG USB Loader, and other Apps. WiiXplorer sees
all partitions on it. All of my non-NAND data is on the first Fat32 partition,
while the NAND FS is on the second FAT32 partition. Perhaps this is not the
correct way of doing things? Does NAND have to be on the first partition?

I just looked at the source code, and it seems this is the case. Irritating, as
its going to take me half a day to reconfigure that drive. Not necessarily
something that needs to have an option added to the app, but maybe something
informing the user of this. Just a string of text or something.

So I set the drive up with the NAND partition as the first (and primary) FAT32
partition, marked it as active, and used NAND Dumper to move the correct data
into it, and now Triiforce crashes immediately after choosing USB-NAND. SD-NAND
works fine, if that gives you a clue. . .

I know ios249 rev21 says it works with emulated nands. But I would try ios 249
rev17 as I know it works. Also Sneek is a good way of doing it with less bugs.
But I am
using uniiloader as it will load wii games on ntfs partition while using
emulated nands. Good luck.

I was trying to do emulated NAND to host large amounts of DLC for Rock Band, so
I don't have to delete old stuff to get new. I ended up using the SDHC and USB
Instrument support from cIOS249 rev21 Base 56 to just save all the DLC to an
8GB SD card that I happened to have handy. Works fine, but it will run out of
space shortly. This is why I can't downgrade to Rev17, however. I was looking
at Uneek, and it seems much more involved, and I am just out of motivation for
today. I'll try it when the time comes.
