Not usable alongside "Tabs on Bottom" extension #32

Hello,

I like to have my tabs under the url bar and bookmark bar. Up to firefox 28 it was possible to define a boolean in about:config to have them this way, but from firfox 29, this does not work and the only solution is to add this module. See there http://piro.sakura.ne.jp/xul/_tabsonbottom.html.en

I also find The-Fox--Only-Better a great module, but if I activate both modules, The-Fox--Only-Better triggers the appearence of the url and bookmarks bars too early, when hovering over the tabs bar, and it hides the tabs. So it is not possible to click on any tab at all.

I don't mind the tabs being covered when I don't need to click on them, so I think it would be great to have the possibility to tell The-Fox--Only-Better to trigger the appearence of the url and bookmarks bar only when hovering over something above the tabs (the menu for instance). Then the tabs wouldn't be hidden by the url and bookmarks bars when trying to click on a tab.

Don't know if this feature is possible, because I understand that triggering the appearence of the bars when hovering the tabs bar is the natural behaviour of The-Fox--Only-Better for a "standard" configured firefox. But it would be really great :)

Here's something I don't understand. With TheFOB the nav-bar and the bookmarks bar aren't above or below the tabs anyway, they only appear when you hover the tabs. What exactly is it that you expect to gain from having both add-ons enabled? If you just disable Tabs on Bottom and enable TheFOB, you'll essentially still have the tabs on the bottom.

Well, I can't expect having the nav and bookmarks bars appear above the tabs ; but I'd prefer to have them appear over the tabs rather than below.

Well if it was possible to have the nav and bookmarks bars appear over the tabs (when hovering over something above the tabs) then it would become useless to have Tabs on Bottom.

Here are the two possibilities I see.

1) The nav-bar and bookmarks bar would appear above the tabs but wouldn't cover them. For this to work, they would have to go outside of the window borders and, besides being extremely weird to look at, that wouldn't work at all for technical reasons (I can't draw anything outside of the window borders) and even if I could, that would only work in non-maximized windows.

2) The nav-bar and bookmarks bar would cover the tabs by moving the mouse over something above the tabs. There is barely anything above the tabs to hover like this, except for the menu bar, which isn't enabled by default anyway. Not to mention that by covering the tabs, you wouldn't be sure anymore of the information they provide (which tab is active, how many tabs are open, what other tabs are open, this is all important information that you need at one time or another).

I honestly don't see any good coming out of implementing a solution like this. It wouldn't even be a space saver because you wouldn't be saving any more space than you are now, you'd just... clump everything together at the top.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll be adding compatibility for any kind of "Tabs on bottom" mode.

Oh, I forgot that the menu wasn't enabled by default. Well, never mind then...
