issues with treestyletab #60

hello,

first, let me say thank you for the great work!

i see an issue with treestyletab (tabs in vertical mode). (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/tree-style-tab/) if i move the mouse to the tab bar, the shrunken tabs should pop out. but they can't, because the tool/navigation bars drop down as well, as soon as i move the mouse pointer onto the tabs.

so... the vertical tab bar (which is on the right side here) wants to expand to the left, the navigation bar wants to drop down at the same time, and there is a conflict.

Hmm, I'm actually not having any trouble in this situation, both the tabs and the navigation bar are appearing/disappearing as expected without a problem.

Anyway, it doesn't really make much sense to show the navigation bar when hovering the tabs if they're not at the top of the window. I've just uploaded a beta version 1.1.1b3, you can find it at the top of https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/the-fox-only-better/versions/, which shouldn't show the navigation bar when hovering the tabs on the side like you have. If you could please try it out and see if that fixes your issue as well (and see if it works well for you overall) I would really appreciate it.

"Anyway, it doesn't really make much sense to show the navigation bar when hovering the tabs if they're not at the top of the window" ^^^ exactly what i thought, too. sorry i forgot to mention that i used the latest dev version. i just updated to 1.1.1b3, and so far it's just doing as i want.

i do also like findbar tweak, just issue #150 is a bit annoying.

btw, is the only way paypal to contribute? :( or, i could translate TFOB into german, if no one else is doing this. not that i'm good at it, but maybe better than nothing.

Unfortunately I have very little time to work on my add-ons. Quick stuff like this I can usually do within a few days (you got lucky and just happened to catch me at a time I'm at the computer already working on it). But I'm currently doing a very thorough rewrite of many things in FBT, which is taking much longer than I had expected. This is needed not only to fix most of its bugs, but also to improve performance (a lot!) and to implement many of the extra features that I am planning to add. I will eventually finish this job on FBT, but I still can't give you an end date, as I have a lot to do not only in FBT but also on my other add-ons (and life in general). I'm really sorry for the trouble it's causing you, I hope to finish it soon.

Yeah, unfortunately I can only accept PayPal right now, but while I do appreciate it very much, you shouldn't feel obligated to donate. If you can't, you can't. :)

The add-on is on babelzilla, at http://www.babelzilla.org/index.php?option=com_wts&Itemid=0&type=show&extension=5716. That's a platform that I use for all the translations of all my add-ons. If you feel up to it, you can create an account at the site, register as the german translator for the add-on, and translate away. It should be a simple process, and if you have any questions at all you can always ask me through here or by e-mail of course. I must warn you though, there are more than a few strings to translate, it's not really a 5 minutes job... Maybe 20 minutes. :)

ah, ok. i usually translated addons by just using notepad++ :) (i did a number of other addons before). it seems babelzilla deleted my account, i haven't used it for... well, almost forever. i will do it, no matter which way.

and yes, i know there is of course also a life beside this. which is good! so i won't disturb you any longer.

thanks again, firefox wouldn't be useful without fine addons like yours.

not as easy as i thought.... hard to translate "chrome" actually, and i don't exactly know about "Sky Lights".

well... i'll do my best, actually i'm finished, only some final polishing needed.
