I will of course look into this.
I assume you mean the icon from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/feedly-notifier/
Everything is fine for me, the icon doesn't disappear. Please try the latest version of the add-on available at https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/the-fox-only-better/versions/, either 1.1.3 or the latest beta 1.1.4b1, and let me know if that helps.
If not, please tell me what operating system and firefox version you're using.
Hi Miguel,
thanks for taking the time to respond
Windows 7 | FF31.0 and 32.0 | Feedly Notifier 2.8.3 | TFOB 1.1.4b1
below shows
I do have a lot of other addons so it may be the additional interaction with one of them - but almost too many to list.
Hope you can help.
Many thanks,
Stephen

Hi Stephen, please attach (what I assume were screenshots) in github's website thread directly, by following the link in the e-mail and using the webform to attach them, as sending them by e-mail to this thread won't work. Or in alternative you can send it directly to me to quicksaver@gmail.com. Either way is fine.
Hi Miguel,
thanks for taking the time to respond
Windows 7 | FF31.0 and 32.0 | Feedly Notifier 2.8.3 | TFOB 1.1.4b1
below shows
top (without TFOB) = Feedly icon present
middle (with TFOB) = having either (A) enabled TFOB or (B) if icon dissapeared as in 3, (i) disabled TFOB, (ii) disabled and then re-enabled Feedly Notifier, (iii) enabled TFOB.
bottom (with TFOB) but after restart of Firefox
I do have a lot of other addons so it may be the additional interaction with one of them - but almost too many to list.

I simply can't reproduce this, the Feedly icon stays in its place after restarting the browser, no matter how many times I restart it.
I had the same issue and it appears to be due to using an alternate theme. If I enabled the theme (FRESH) the icon disappears, but reappears if I just use the default theme.
Could you give me a link to this theme please?
The FRESH theme link is https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/f-r-e-s-h/ I also tested it with another theme (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/dream-of-waves/) and had the same result. Only seems to work with default FF theme for me.
Thanks DarrellB03 . Have just tried reverting to Default Theme and Feedly Notifier works even after restart. Would still like to have both working together Miguel if at all possible. BTW I was using Cascades theme https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cascades/
This is a problem with one of the initialization routines in Feedly Notifier, which I think will be much easier fixed on its side rather than here. I've already told its developer about it (https://github.com/olsh/Feedly-Notifier-Firefox/issues/97), so hopefully he will fix it soon, or at least we can come to another kind of solution.
I would love to know why this only happens when using a non-default theme though, that's just weird...
Many thanks Luis for all the effort - much appreciated.

You're welcome, I'm sorry for the bother this issue is causing. Hopefully either myself or Feedly Notifier's developer will find a solution soon.
Just a little update, this should be fixed with the next Feedly Notifier version, which should be released around firefox 36. See https://github.com/olsh/Feedly-Notifier-Firefox/issues/97 and https://github.com/olsh/Feedly-Notifier-Firefox/issues/92 for more info. I'll close this issue when it is released.
Many thanks for this. I've still got it disabled at the moment but will reactivate it when FF 36 comes out.
much appreciated,
Stephen

So Firefox 36 is out, and Feedly Notifier's developer just uploaded the next version which should fix this issue. It should be approved soon, so it should update automatically in the next few days, but you can find it already here if you'd like to try it now.
Thanks Luis,
just loaded it and is working perfectly now. Well done.

Don't thank me, thank Feedly Notifier's developer. ;)
Love the addon and it was working fine until a few days ago. Now the Feedly notifier icon disappears every time I enable TFOB. Any chance of fixing this bug so that I am able to use your addon again. Thanks.
