To answer your question, the dataset's source is from Kaggle but it doesn't explain in detail what Boost Index is. However, I suppose that it could potentially be used to determine the level of promotion a video receives, such as its placement in recommendation sections, suggested videos, or search results. In my opinion, such a metric could be calculated based on various factors, including engagement metrics (views, likes, comments, shares), watch time, audience retention, click-through rates, categories or even external factors like social media sharing and off-platform interactions. That's why I investigated the relationships of Boost Index with video categories in the first place (instead of the engagement metrics as they are really highly correlated which could result in multicollinearity and affect the results.)
