Loading content for a post seems to lock the UI (does not respond) after the latest update #55

After the latest update I noticed that loading content (like a link or image) after the user clicks on a post causes the UI to become irresponsible. The UI starts responding again after some elements of a page or a part of a image can be finally shown in the preview area. Touching too much mid loading may cause the app to crash.

Happens on Windows 10 Mobile (10.0.10586.63) on a Microsoft Lumia 640 XL 4G

What app version? There was an update that just came out an hour ago (2.8.x) that should fix this. If it doesn't get fixed in the new update let me know.

4.7.2.0

In the title I was referring to the update before this latest one, but if my app is up to date it is still happening, at least here.

You have 4.7.2? Wait a little while longer and try to get 2.8, and then see if it repos.

So, I got the latest version, and after some days of testing and using the application I figured out that, when loading a web page, the UI is stuck as long as the "Loading..." frame is visible, after the webview appears the UI starts behaving normally again. If you do something to put Baconit in the background (when the "Loading..." frame is visible) through Windows UI, it will most likely crash the application. I haven't investigated this in VS yet.

I find this behavior easier to notice when the internet connection is really bad/slow.

Can repro: UI is locked during "Loading...". (Is the LoadingOverlay a massive CPU hog?)
