It would be nice if this was prevented, and even better if the pre-loaded page was somehow frozen in its initial state. Hearing music from a totally unrelated post is confusing and potentially annoying. I've never heard music on Stack Overflow, and first wondered if it was from some ad.
Looking at https://www.reddit.com/r/programming/comments/4ofej2/a_simple_stack_overflow_question_becomes_an/ I started hearing music. It was coming from the next post in the list at the left, http://www.reddit.com/r/InternetIsBeautiful/comments/4od436/make_john_barnes_dance_for_england_euro_2016/ (warning: loud). Disabling the preload future post content option in flip view settings gets rid of this problem.
