Example "project" #2

This repo should come along with an example "project" that participants can look at and modify. That is, an example of how one might use Jupyter, Python and other such tools together in practice. At a minimum this example should probably contain:

I would suggest that this example project live under a new example-project/ folder, but I don't have a great suggestion of what subject matter the example should concern.

Perhaps doing something QO for part of it? I can contribute the fake tomography stuff I have or design like a bell test simulation?

Sarah, I can help work out a quantum optics example (keeping in mind I'm a QuTiP pre-baby).
