I noticed that the news filter forces me to choose between a state filter (e.g., unread, starred, new, etc.) and an age filter (last day, last 7 days).
I typically filter with "Unread" but sometimes I get disconnected for many days so the "unread" filter still shows me the entire universe. I would like to switch to the 7 days filter but the interface rapidly becomes encumbered with all the "read" items.
Would it be possible to make these two filters non-exclusive to each other? My dream use case would be to select two filters together: "show me only unread items published during the last day / the last 7 days".
