Archiving specified news #356

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Add possibility to archive specified news.
Archive must perform next actions:
 - view news;
 - search news by title/content;
 - something more?

Purpose - reduce operational user's DB-file.

I would like to add some more:

1) Should have separate Archive database file (similar to MS Outlook)to reduce
storage space and increase loading performance
2) "Archive" command in context menu and/or toolbar button

To me this is a must-have function of this great RSS reader!

Since I work with a huge cumulative numbers of feeds, I agree that a news
archiving feature would be a crucial addition to an already terrific news feed
reader. I would like to add a request to this proposed "archive" feature, and
that is the ability to merge already saved databases (which, in the past,
became to huge and unwieldy) into an archive, so it may be searched as well.

All in all, an archiving feature along the lines of MS Outlook, incorporating a
similarly excellent search feature, will be a great bonus.

Raindrop.io
