Hi, well I think this is global qtwebkit issue. What is your operating system and your language? On the webpage you send me, it display characters correctly only in menu (and that is because those are images, not text). Are those pages displayed correctly in other qtwebkit browsers? I am trying to use as low memory as possible, add only required minimum above qtwebkit rendering core.

Friend of mine now checked it on Windows 7, and characters on all pages are displayed correctly even if he doesn't use Japanese/Chinese localized Windows.

What is your operating system?

I am using windows xp sp3. In other webkit based browser like qtweb and eazy browser it displayed properly. But midori cannot display it, it appear as square font in midori. In internetSurfBoard it displayed like qupzilla. Arora can displayed the character well, but the web page(taobao.com) rendered different from other browser (I think because of old version of webkit being used).

Hi, just tried the browsers as you said on Win XP SP3, and they had same problems with chinese/japanese characters as QupZilla. I tried Arora (latest version) and QtWeb (also latest version) and they rendered the page exactly same as QupZilla.

Can you please check it again?

Are you sure you are using win xp? From those screenshots it looks like Vista/7, definitely not XP :-)

I am using windows xp sp3 with windows 7 transformation pack. So the theme just like windows 7 but actually it is windows XP.

Thanks for info, that's all I need to know. Unfortunately, I don't have a clue right now how to fix it.

Download again Windows installer (or portable edition) and it should work ok now.
