Seconded! A Zotero plugin is definitely needed. Zotero is widely used in academia.
The only way you can get zotero to work right now is by installing the zotero-bookmarklet. It only saves to your zotero account, though, not to the standalone version. But the standalone syncs with your online account, anyway, so that shouldn't be too much of a headache. Still, I would prefer a native zotero plugin. Especially since zotero is the reference manager of choice for many academics and students.
Zotero (https://www.zotero.org/) is a well-maintained reference manager with plugins for Chromium, Firefox which make reference collection simple. This is a request for adding a similar extension to qupZilla.
