[Feature request] Not autoplay media in BG tabs #2541

e.g. opening a page with the video on YouTube with a right-click -> open-in-new-tab, causes the video to play without switching to this tab. That's confusable %)

Just for the record - you can set QupZilla to automatically switch to newly opened tabs.

You should be able to do this with userscript.

@cranes-bill I don't want to switch to the new tab, I want the videos not to auto-play :) For example, sometimes on youtube I open several of the recomended videos at the same time to watch after the one I'm currently watching. The problem is that all of those BG tabs start playing and I have to go to each of them and stop the videos, that's really annoying :)

@nowrep Interesting! How would I do that? Is there a howto or something? Actually, I'd love to disable auto-play for all videos in all tabs all of the time, not only on BG tabs.

Yes, he means with GreaseMonkey. For example, this one works fine.
