I have downloaded the latest QupZilla-2.2.6.AppImage and when I tried to run this appimage nothing happened but when i tried to return to the previous verson QupZilla-2.2.5.AppImage qupzilla reported that some setting has been changed or something and it saved a backup in a database. I also lost all my saved speeddials and it reseted to the default

When I run qupzilla through terminal it got this result ./QupZilla-2.2.6.AppImage

I think the problem is in Qt. If i'm right, this one should works. It's built against Qt 5.10.0

ghost commented 6 years ago

any idea how to backup the data from browsedata-backup.db

Run the following command from the terminal:

cp -f "$HOME/.config/qupzilla/profiles/default/browsedata-backup.db" "$HOME/.config/qupzilla/profiles/default/browsedata.db"

Then check out does it has restored. So if yes and you don't want to keep the backup file, just run: rm -f "$HOME/.config/qupzilla/profiles/default/browsedata-backup.db"

ghost commented 6 years ago

Will this file be added to qupzilla download page?

ghost commented 6 years ago

That's only depends of @nowrep, but looks like the problem is related to Ubuntu only (trust me you don't want to know what i think about Ubuntu  ), but to avoid of further bug reports probably it would be a good idea to be replaced.
