Version of QupZilla?
HTML5 in Windows builds was supported only with Qt 4.7. Let's hope it will be supported again in some future Qt 5 builds (but I'm not too optimistic for win2k because of msvc2010, etc..).
Hi, thanks for your replies. @pejakm: I am using: Configuration Information Information about version Application version 1.4.1 Qt version 4.8.2 WebKit version 534.34 Build time Mar 15 2013 14:50:43 Platform Windows 2000
@nowrep: I am a bit in the dark here. Do you mean that former versions of Qupzilla (those that were build on/against QT4.7) will probably work? Or are those Qupzilla versions too old to support HTML5 Video? If not, which QupZilla would you suggest for W2000? (This whole Qupzilla is a bit new to me, as are the details of which msvc are supported, so forgive me being slow to catch up.)
Some very old version (like 1.1.0) may probably actually support HTML5 media, but it's too old to use it nowadays. The problem here is that some Windows API (directshow, windows media framework, ... ) is used to play video/audio, and I am not sure whether they are available on win2k. After all, win2k is not officially suported by Qt (and thus nor by QupZilla)
Hi,
First let me thank you for building a modern browser that actually runs fine on W2000. I am setting up a W2000 machine for my duaghter to play with, but I don't know how to enable HTML5 video/audio. We need that for youtube. I don't want to install some ancient Flash for W2000.
I tried: http://html5test.com/ It tests say this browser have nothing working for both video and audio.
I read a little here, and it seems I must have the right codecs, so I installed K-Lite_Codec_Pack_710_Full.exe (which is the last klite pack for W2000 I think). But to no avail.
Any chance I might get this show going on this W2000 machine?
