Not because of that, he needs to install it from the Microsoft Store (easy way to get to the Minecraft Trial page is by pressing Windows key and R key at the same time, and then typing ms-windows-store://pdp/?ProductId=9NBLGGH2JHXJ and then pressing OK.) and then it will work.

because no auto-updating and it will still need you to get the trial unless you use https://github.com/MCMrARM/mc-w10-version-launcher or https://bedrocklauncher.github.io/
