Calendar for 2024 events #1

Hi! My name is Beatriz, and I'm a co-organizer from R-Ladies São Paulo (Brazil).

In 2024, around the end of April and the start of May, I will spend two weeks in a city close to Melbourne to visit some relatives <3.

I would like to know if there is already a calendar for 2024. It would be great to attend an event and learn more with the members of the Melbourne R-Ladies Chapter!

Welcome to Melbourne! We haven't got anything plan for 2024 yet. Would you be interested to be a presenter? We are keen to hear your expreience with R-Ladies Sao Paulo and how you opreates. If the time zone works out, we could do a joint event together via zoom. Alternatively we could try to schedule an event for that time. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Daidai!! It would be awesome to share experiences and also how the Melbourne chapter operates! I'm not sure if the time zone will work out to do a join event, since there is a 14 hour difference between Sao Paulo and Melbourne 😆

There is some information about some of the actions we take to increase the diversity in our group. This is an interesting point to start with!

We normally host event in person as well as online at the same time after working hours (5:30) from Monday to Thursdsay. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Daidai!

Happy new year for you too!

I'm sorry I took so long to reply. I only bought the tickets from Sydney to Melbourne yesterday.

The dates that I will be in Melbourne (and are from Monday to Thursday) are: 01/05/2024 02/05/2024 03/05/2024 06/05/2024 07/05/2024 08/05/2024

But since I took so long to respond, if you think that is too close to schedule anything, I totally understand!

We will prepare the event page on meet up and send it to you soon! The location is likely to be at WHEI Walter and Eliza Hall Institute/1G Royal Parade, Parkville VIC 3052.
