Got the following reply,

The timeline we have is based on spring term but you can figure out the timeline for fall if you use January 22 as your final deadline and count back to the various timelines shown in the spring timelines below:

Or you can talk to Paula as I won;t be in the office today.

Email to professor Alencar

Hello Professor,

I just had a meeting with Paula.

For the presentation the deadline is December 18th. For the thesis, it should be put on display and provided to the readers 2-3 weeks before the presentation, so the dead line is close to November end. Paula also mentioned that they suggest that students submit the thesis by mid-November .

Best Regards, Akshat Kumar

Follow up questions to Paula

Hi Paula,

I am Akshat Kumar, thanks for meeting me on Monday about the graduation timelines for Fall 2015.

I have few more question on the topic, After completing the degree requirements, how much estimated time is required for completing the final documentation and formalities ? When will I be awarded an official document stating that I have successfully completed the degree requirements ?

Best Regards, Akshat Kumar

Another reply from Paula

Hi Akshat,

Once you have submitted your Thesis Acceptance form signed by your supervisor and your readers it will take about a week for GSO to review and accept your thesis. This leaves time for any necessary formatting review and also gives time for the grad director to sign your form.

If you complete the degree requirements by August 31st you will attend convocation and receive your diploma in October. If you meet the degree requirements after August 31st you will attend convocation and receive your diploma in June 2016. In both cases, however, your transcript will indicate that you have met your degree requirements once all of your documents have been submitted and your thesis has been deposited.

Let me know if you have any further questions, Paula
