I was trying to install this package by using the command pip install contextualSpellCheck. I am able to install some of the files but its giving me legacy install failure error. What should I do in this case can someone please help? I am getting an error while installing the editdistance package(which is probably the core thing based on Edit Distance Algorithm) Can someone please help regarding this,

The issue is resolved. Note: Please avoid using windows. I did dual boot with linux -ubuntu 64 bit and was able to install this package properly. With windows I even faced a lot of errors and wasted a lot of time.

Hi @RathiAaditya, it is not an issue with contextualSpellCheck but a problem installing its dependency editdistance. Did you try the solution mentioned in the error message for windows? The error message suggested installing microsoft c++ build tools.

Hey hello Rajat, regarding that , the error which I was facing was probably because I was using a 32 bit python ,which I was not so the other possibility was because I didn't have Microsoft C++ tools so I tried installing that but that didn't work either. I am actually working on a project in spacy where we are building on top of a pipeline. But I was facing some issues with nltk_data since the past 2 weeks , so I finally decided to dual boot as the last option and surprisingly it worked !!
