We only need access to the backend for their collection of data, so we could take the battery levels, that they should be getting from the robot as well.
The battery management will be done with an animation of how full the battery is at the front of the charging station. But we heard that the mobiel platform are going to add an additional battery to their robot so at least it would have enough power to run every hardware and actually move faster than a couple meters per second.
The status will be sent by MQTT, which would provide connections between the two raspberry pi's, one that can read the battery levels and the other pi will be used to control the LED-matrix
Making a system to check if the battery is full.
This might be a good addition predominantly for safety and longevity of the battery. At least we should be able to know when the battery is full and not overload the battery.
