Wait what? I have the EXACT same problem with an TS1TMTS430S. I for some reason cut accidently the power and the system didnt came up. I firstly thought i messed up the bootloader with the proxmox efi package but the SSD wasnt working in any slot/adapter. I just recently filled out the warranty seller thingie. I cant check the date but i pretty sure i remembered "shit, just a year?". Ive had no SSD failing before.
I can provide more information but i have/had a hunge amount of different SSDs running in S740 and also S940 machines. Non failed so far except this Transcend one. EDIT: i just checked and i also got an TS4TMTS830S and another TS1TMTS430S still running fine in my setup.
Hi guys,
I got a question and was wondering if anyone of you could point me in the right direction.
I use my S740 as a homeserver, running Proxmox with only 2 containers: Home Assistant and Pi-Hole. Everything was running smoothly for about a year, when the system crashed and didn't boot anymore. The problem is pretty clearly a failing SSD (SMART status bad while booting, trying to start Proxmox results in an error message that is attributed to a failing hard drive). When I got the S740 I replaced the SSD with a 240GB Transcend MTS420S (I assume many are using this one).
Does someone have an idea what could have caused this problem? I will replace the SSD now, but would like to get to the root of the problem. My setup was pretty straight forward, so basically the new setup would be the same and I'm afraid I got the same problem in a year.
Thanks for your help.
