Problem with the generated code on new version #111

I was using Winauth version 1.7.1314 a few months back for Diablo 3.
Today i tried opening the Authenticator and didnt remember the password. After
10 or so tries i remembered the password, but once i entered it i got an error
message:
"Unable to load authenticator from
c:\Users...: Index was outside the bounds of the array."

I tried it on 2 machines. After that i downloaded the new Version 3.0.17 and
opened the authenticator.xml with the new Version, typed in my password and it
opened. However with the generated code Battle.net says its not correct for my
account.

Also i noticed when i click on show serial and restore code in the new version
now, the serial is some weird too long gibberish.

It sounds like the file has gotten corrupted if it's displaying gibberish
instead of the serial. You can try loading a backup of the configuration file
if you have one - the file you need to restore is %APP DATA%\Windows
Authenticator\authenticator.xml.

Easiest thing though is to use the original Restore code and Serial number from
when you added it initially. In either version of WinAuth you can choose
Restore Authenticator, which will rebuild the key from Blizzard's servers.

I you don't have those you'll need to contact Blizzard and get it removed from
your account.

Ok, hope you get it sorted. If you add another authenticator, using WinAuth or
even their own official app, please make sure you write down the Restore code
and Serial number in case of any future problems.
