Closed jvcasillas closed 1 year ago

Could you check whether individuals with higher empathy were not the ones with higher proficiency? How did these two factors correlate?

Action: respond, possible include correlation info (they aren't correlated)

jvcasillas commented 1 year ago

Add correlation info to lt_eq_descriptives table (here("tables", "lextale_empathy_descriptives.csv") in small data script)

Use r_eq_lt_post to reference correlation in prose (and in response to reviewers.

The relationship between empathy and proficiency is estimated in a number of ways. First, the effect of the interaction between the two predictors on response accuracy is estimated for each utterance type and are reported in the manuscript. Our model also estimated this correlation in the grouping effects and provided no compelling evidence that the two predictors are correlated r r_eq_lt_random_post, thus we feel confident that the participants with higher proficiency are not necessarily the same ones with higher empathy.
