I've managed to put the application in a Docker container, and also found out the correct proxy settings for nginx. So deployment-wise we are on a good way. Will look into automating the Docker builds with Github Actions next.
I have also added some more instructions and info to the README. Maybe you guys could check if everything is correct so far :)
