I have an email from BDR requesting a CRAN release of S7 by Sept 19 (the problem is already fixed here).
@lawremi @mmaechler @DavisVaughan @t-kalinowski @ltierney any concerns with doing a release based on what we have in the existing NEWS? I don't think there is anything particularly controversial there, but please let me know if you have any concerns. If I don't hear anything by EOD Sept 16, I'll assume it's ok and I'll proceed with a patch release.
