Copy editing #126

These are the copy editing changes I mentioned in the call today. The styleguide.Rmd file describes the mechanical ones; there are also a few where I made changes to improve the wording or correct spelling.

This is ok for me. One minor suggestion, I would add a formatting to make it as Markdown in the HTML output (backtiks + markdown) so that you don't have to specify "The instructions below should be read in the .Rmd file [...]":

@davidgohel, I agree that would be better, but I don't know how to get the backticks to display in the output.
