During a meeting between the Phaleron Bioarchaeological Project and the RDFBones/AnthroGraph workgroup the idea of an additional section for the paleopathology module arose. @JEB13 proposed to create an 'Abnormal Fusion' section recording the fusion of bones, mostly as a congenital condition. Records can be expected for the following skeletal elements:
ribs
phalanges
neural arches of vertebrae
vertebrae
Technically, the section might work similar to the 'Nonmetric Traits' section, i.e. as an anatomical regions of interest specification to specify the regions of interest involved which can be annotated with a comment.
@JEB13, @HannahLiedl, @elizabethhannigan, @hayesleigh, @sacheever, @jstamer95, @jessica-rothwell, please discuss whether such a section is needed and what the exact requirements are.
