As a player after finishing certain dialogs / reaching certain points of the game I get a notification of a new chapter which indicates me that new dialog options with the NPCs are open and different things cand and need to be done now.
E.g. after talking to Xardas in the beginning the first chapter starts. The chapter has always a centered image with a name and a sound notification of reaching a new chapter.
