docs: split readme, add license and editorconfig #5

I think we should maybe use a license with a copyleft principle like GPL-3.0 to prevent others from copying the source and using it as a basis to build closed-source software. That is maybe not a big problem right now, but it could be in the future, and changing the license later could be hard to do.
