In the next BBB release, install rdate. This is helpful for our clusters where IP forwarding is happening. Updates on these system sometimes require 'rdate -n -4 time-a.nist.gov' to allow the system to do an apt-get update command. Peter indicated that this should not interfere with the timesync framework since running this command is only needed when updating the system and timesync will not be utilized at that moment.
