The source code of this converter seems to be based on RITDB Alpha P008 and is over 5 years old:

insertObject(sequence, fileID, 0, "RITDB_VERSION", "ALPHA_P008");

any chance of submitting a more up to date converter?

That is a fair request. The changes were mostly tracking the evolution of the standard. Along with adding digital scan support. I'll post an update in the next few days.
