[BUG] X55 Shutdown Speaker Thump #297

Describe the bug

On normal system shutdown through the appropriate menu, the speakers make a small thump as the screen also turns off. This was not evident on OEM firmware.

How to reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Device is powered and used as normal
  2. Shutdown system is selected from the Quit menu
  3. Speakers make a small thump as the screen turns to black

Context

This is possibly evident of amplifier discharge. I am not educated on the specific audio hardware setup, however on other audio systems speaker thump is normally evident of capacitors discharging.

I think this happen since I received my device under JELOS. Perhaps only when it's a forced shutdown with the button.

A workaround to handle this on many audio system is to shutdown the speaker/audio system or set the volume to 0 before shutdown.
